These visiting flamingos are being hunted by amateur people around the Clifton Urban Forest. These hunters sell these rare birds for just a few hundred rupees or roast them to eat. It is high time for World Wildlife Fund, Pakistan to look into this issue and take necessary steps to stop the ruthless killing of birds. The Clifton Urban Forest of Karachi has started welcoming various birds in recent weeks. The number of birds is increasing with more plantation going on. It was only a few months back when one could only see the scavengers all over the place since this place used to be a dumping ground of litter of surrounding areas. Flocks of flamingos are visible in the evenings nowadays. Pakistan is known for having greater species of flamingos spotted in coastal areas and salt lakes. Unfortunately, the country is facing the issue of saving many endangered species of animals and birds only due to the lack of awareness. These visiting flamingos are being hunted by amateur people around Clifton Urban Forest. These hunters sell these rare birds for just a few hundred rupees or roast them to eat. It is high time for World Wildlife Fund Pakistan to look into this issue and take necessary steps to stop this illegal act of killing beautiful birds.
